“Laughs for Leathernecks” is our annual FUNdraiser night of comedy, dinner, and silent auction at The Improv in the Irvine Spectrum, to be held Monday, September 12th

WHAT: “Laughs for Leathernecks” – Dinner & Comedy Show. There will be a blockbuster silent auction and fabulous raffles, too!!

Attend yourself or Sponsor a Marine(s) for a night of laughs for only $45, which includes dinner, a hilarious star-packed comedy show, a silent auction, and raffles. Proceeds for this event will help provide support and outreach to our Fighting Fifth Marines and their families. So come say “Thank you” to our Marines for their service and sacrifices and join them in a fun-filled evening.

ALL-STAR COMEDY LINEUP FILLED WITH LAUGHTER!!

• Tom Riehl Back once again for his 8^th year as host/emcee of our Laughs for Leathernecks comedy extravaganza, Tom Riehl has been a part of the Orange County comedy scene since the early 90s, both as a performer and a producer. He has appeared at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, The Ice House, and multiple Improvs. He was a winner on ABC’s America’s Funniest People, and in addition, Tom was the host and producer of cable TV’s cooking show Food Rules which ran for nine seasons. Currently, Tom can be seen and heard dishing out recipes on his YouTube channel Riehl Food and live Instagram and Facebook events.
• Jay Hewlett Jay’s comedy/acting career includes appearances on Comic View on BET, Comedy Central, Showtime, the Boston Comedy Festival, the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, and the Sunscreen & AOF Film Festivals. In addition, Jay regularly headlines in Los Angeles, at the Irvine Improv and the Brea Improv, and clubs and colleges across the country. Yet somehow, he still makes time to entertain the troops on tour with Armed Forces Entertainment.
• This year, Vicki Barbolak, one of America’s funniest and most authentic comedians, joins the comedy crew. She was a fan favorite and a top 10 finalist on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent in 2018 on NBC. She was also featured on the 2019 AGT Champions show, and Britain’s Got Talent Champions.
  Vicki draws her comedy from her roller-coaster life of working in a family carpet business owned by her dad, a former Pittsburgh Steeler, dueling with ex-husbands who think alimony is an Italian ice-cream flavor, and raising two great kids, all while living in the ultra-posh Vista Manor Trailer Park near San Diego, Vicki has created a comic persona that has earned her well-deserved praise. She is considered unique both in the character she has created and the fresh material she consistently delivers. Since being on AGT, Vicki Barbolak has embarked on an international tour and is selling out shows everywhere.
• James P. Connolly  A former member of the Fighting Fifth, James has appeared on America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, and HBO in the new Netflix series, Larry Charles: Dangerous World of Comedy, and on the Audible Audio Documentary, Strong Ending. In addition, James can be heard daily on SiriusXM Comedy Channels, has hosted Live From Here for National Lampoon XM Radio, and produces an annual Veterans Day Comedy Show benefiting the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP).
• Fritz Coleman, who brought us the weather and laughter on KNBC for more than 35 years, will grace the stage again in support of our Fighting Fifth. Fritz began work as the weekend weatherman at KNBC and became the weekday weatherman in 1984. He has written and performed two one-man theater acts, titled The Reception, and It’s Me! Dad! and received the 2004 EMA Community Service Award for his involvement with KNBC’s 4 Our Planet. Throughout his long public career, Fritz never stopped performing Stand-Up comedy.
