ARCHIVE OCT 16, 2011: Help the Spouses of Combat Deployed Marines' Moms-to-Be by Donating Funds to Support a Special Baby Shower Planned for Oct 16
NOTE ADDED OCT 17, 2011:
Dear Friends of the Fifth:
Thank you again for all your support for this very special outreach to these brave women going through this important time alone. It would not have been the event it was if it were not for people like you!
Semper Fi,
Terry Rifkin
Director of Support and Outreach

Guests of Honor for our Baby Shower; our brave Ladies of the Fighting Fifth Marines

Support group at work with the help of a generous community
Can you imagine having your baby while your husband is thousands of miles from home, deployed in combat for an entire year?
These brave women who are without their new baby's father on such a monumentous occasion need our support while their Marine Husband's are fighting for our freedoms. This is what the spouse of a service man frequently faces. These are some of the common sacrifices that as civilians, we don't often think about or acknowledge.

Now YOU can make a difference!
The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group will be hosting a Baby Shower on October 16th to provide outreach and support for any woman currently pregnant associated with our brave Regimental Combat Team 5 (RTC-5) and the Headquarters Company or who has delivered a child since May of this year.
We estimate approximately 15 women will qualify. There will be special gifts, shower games, and lunch for these extrordinary women. And we need your tax deductable donation to help make this Baby Shower the best it can be.
Donations for the shower and baby gifts may be made online www.danapoint5thmarines.com or
to donate by check, please send your tax deductable check made out to "Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group" to:
P.O. Box 471
Dana Point, CA 92629-0471
or call Terry Rifkin, Director of Support and Outreach, at (949) 412-3475 or email her at terry@terryrifkin.com.
Your generosity for the families who remain behind help with the peace of mind of our Fifth Marines who are fighting in harm's way.
