"Laughs for Leathernecks" is our annual FUNdraiser night of comedy, dinner and silent auction at The Improv in the Irvine Spectrum to be held Monday, October 7th.

WHAT: "Laughs for Leathernecks" - Dinner & Comedy Show. There will be a silent auction and door prizes, too!!
COST: $40.00 (includes dinner & show)

Your name and the name of your guests will be on our guest list at the door starting at 5:30pm on Monday, Oct 7 at the Irvine Improv. Dinner is served before the show and the show starts at 7:00pm sharp. 

Attend yourself or Sponsor a Marine(s) or the Ladies of the Regiment whose husbands are deployed for a night of laughs only $40 including dinner, a hilarious star packed comedy show, silent auction and door prizes. Proceeds for this event will be used to provide support and outreach to our Fighting Fifth Marines and their families. Come say "Thank you" to our Marines for their service and sacrifices and join them in a fun-filled evening.


We have an all-star line up including five outstanding comedians donating their time and talent, including:

  • James P. Connolly from Comedy Central and Sirius Radio. James himself was a member of the Fighting Fifth and served in Operation Desert Storm. James has appeared on America’s Got Talent, Comedy Central, HBO, in the new Netflix series, “Larry Charles: Dangerous World of Comedy.”
  • Angela Hoover Angela Hoover was a semi-finalist (top 20) on season 8 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent where she performed numerous celebrity impressions (Celine Dion, Sharon Osbourne, Kourtney Kardashian) garnering the praise of Howie Mandel. “You are the best celebrity impressionist working today.”
  • Tony Calabrese Tony's exuberant body language and facial expressions combined with his over the top takes on life’s events make him an audience favorite everywhere. Tony’s comedy is best described as a frustrated middle-aged married fat guy meets lazy Ninja.
  • Tom Riehl has worked with a variety of performers including comedians Bob Saget, Paula Poundstone, Rita Rudner, Fritz Coleman and Shawn Wayans, as well as musical acts Berlin, Three Dog Night and David Pack of Ambrosia. Tom is also the host of the web series Riehl Food.
  • Bil Dwyer hails from Chicago IL Bil’s career has covered many facets of show business, from performing to writing to commercial voiceover work. He is an accomplished standup comic, who has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn” and his very own half-hour stand-up special “Comedy Central Presents: Bil Dwyer.” His takes on marriage, kids and family are hip and sardonic, and yet beneath lies a certain odd sweeten Besides appearing on great television shows like “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Ally McBeal,” Bil has also been in such forgettable films as “Ski School 2,” “The Bogus Witch Project” and “What Planet are You From?.” Writing with sitcom star/television producer Christopher Titus, Bil co-created a show based on his stand-up comedy called “Back After This” for Sony Pictures Televisi A regular commentator on various cable shows, he is most often recognized for his work on VH1’s highly-rated “I Love the…” series. Bil was also seen as a finalist on Season 4 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and starred in Cartoon Network’s live action/animation hybrid series “Out of Jimmy’s Head.” He currently recurs as Valerie Bertinelli’s ex-husband on the highly-rated TV Land sitcom “Hot in Cleveland."
